Delete option wasn’t provided in initial versions after legacy. I will release a new version soon with this feature as well.

Thank you for editing. Unfortunately, you cannot delete files. A new window opens with the attachment.

Here is a little misunderstanding. As we were not uploading file from the wp-docs so we weren’t editing and/or deleting the files from here. You were being redirected to the library page, there you could edit or delete the files with responsibility.

Library files can be used in multiple posts and pages, so alone wp-docs settings page should not take the decision of removing files from disk.

But, in upcoming version i am removing the file entry from wp-docs in fact. Instead of removing me the file from library, i am just clearing it from current directory. So misunderstanding is clear now.

In the current version, after deleting and reloading the page, the file will reappear.

I understand that the file is only deleted in WPDOCS.

And I can’t delete a file with a longer name.

Please wait for the next release with this fix.

We are releasing 1.2.8, please check and confirm the delete functionality in it.

Yes, now I can delete folders and files. But only if they have a short title. If they have a long name, the trash icon will not appear.

You must be missing some CSS update. Try to delete the plugin and install it again, because CSS has already this fix with long filenames. I have tried it with a really long name and i can see edit and trash icons.

The problem is when you make a space in the name. The name appears on two lines, but the trash icon does not show.

Paste your file name here, and i am pasting two examples here as well.

    1) aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.png
    2) aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa – Copy.png

Both are giving same results, no overlapping to trash icon. You must be trying something odd. Maybe your files are cached.

Check here on front-end as well

ok, and now you can try delete file with name aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa – Copy.png in back-end…

    🙂

Please watch this video for the answer to your question:

    Dear Lubomir,

I’ve been observing this thread and found the plugin team very patient. I hope you will consider a couple of words to acknowledge their efforts as how continuously are they improving their script.

    Cheers,
    Parker
