# Delete directory

 * I am trying out the free version directorist before signing up for membership.
   Got as far as a complete import of my existing directory listing but something
   went wrong with the mapping and none of the title came through. I would like 
   to delete the directorist directory that was created and try again but I can’t
   see a way to do that please advise.

 * 1. The default directory cannot be deleted. You can create a new directory type.
   Then make it your default directory. After that, you will find the delete option:
   [https://prnt.sc/1tbsm1a](https://prnt.sc/1tbsm1a) However, deleting the directory
   type will not delete listings from your database.
 * 2. If you want to start from scratch, the following option might help: [https://prnt.sc/1tbsup3](https://prnt.sc/1tbsup3)
   This feature removes data from the database. You will need to reinstall Directorist
   in that case.
 * 3. On our end, we could not reproduce the listing import issue you have mentioned.
   You can reach out to our support channel with the CSV file. In that case, one
