My partner is selling monthly events, and people can buy any events over the year, or even buy all the events. These event packages include physical, virtual and downloadable components, but the downloadable components aren’t available till about a week before the event. Is there a way to not include the download link in the completed order email, and then when the downloadable component is ready have the system send the link to all who have purchased that event? I hope this is clear, but if not, please let me know and I’d be more than happy to clarify things further.

    Hmm this one is tricky.

This wouldn’t protect the downloads in the same way our regular system would, but one possible thing you could look at would be using a follow up email to send links after X days.

    Example in this post http://chrislema.com/woocommerce-email/

Thanks Mike. It looks like that may be a workable solution for her.

Mike, one more question. How do we keep the download link from showing up in the order complete email?

This is what I meant when I said “This wouldn’t protect the downloads in the same way our regular system would” – you wouldn’t be able to use the downloadable products because these are served on purchase. Does that make sense?
