# Delay in comments appearing

 * Is there any reason for a 3 hour delay between somebody posting a comment and
   the comment appearing? It’s been happening a fair bit recently on a site that
   ran smoothly previously for about a year.

 * UPDATE:
 * It would appear that the comments *are* appearing. But they’re not turning up
   in the ‘recent comments’ section of the sidebar (via the ‘get recent comments’
   plugin.
 * Could anyone suggest how I might rectify this? As stated previously, the site
   has been running smotthly in this regards until the last few days..
