# Delay and/or Timeout when submitting comments

 * Why is there a massive delay after a user clicks the “Submit Comments” button?
 * This is not caused by the webserver or the user’s connection speed. There must
   be some RSS or other notification code that causes this delay – that is, if whatever
   the wp code is trying to talk to is not available, it waits for the connection
   request to time out.
 * Is there any way to disable this or adjust the timeout wait?
