 * The Admin Control Panel is entirely deformed… Here is a screenshot of what I
   mean: [http://tinypic.com/r/309hc8x/3](http://tinypic.com/r/309hc8x/3)
 * If anybody knows what the source of the problem is or how to fix it, that would
   be great!!!
 * If this is useful, I should also mention that this seemed to happen right after
   I switched to a Linux server, so that I can change my Permalink structure…
 * Thanks,
    Koolstr

 * Have you tried:
 * – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works,
   re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
 * – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems.
 * – [resetting the plugins folder](http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#How_to_deactivate_all_plugins_when_not_able_to_access_the_administrative_menus.3F)
   by FTP or phpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause
   problems.
 * – reading [http://wordpress.org/support/topic/279132](http://wordpress.org/support/topic/279132)
 * – disabling Google Gears if you have that running/installed within Firefox.

 * I tried everything. I even deleted it entirely and reinstalled it and even created
   a new MySQL database. Nothing works. D:
 * EDIT – Interesting…. I logged into the Admin CP through Google Chrome, and it
   seems to be formed perfectly… Does that mean there is something wrong with Safari
   and Firefox?

 * Bump. Does anybody have a solution, or even an idea?
 * Or do I have to use my CP through Google Chrome for now on…. That would be annoying,
   to constantly have 3 browsers running… >_<

 * Try re-uploading your wp-admin and wp-includes folders? (back these up first
   just in case!)
 * I’ve experienced this problem once after a semi-botched upgrade, but not after
   a migration.

 * Your blog is actually located in a sub-directory named wordpress. That should
   put the style sheets for your admin area here:
 * [http://blog.imperialgfx.co.uk/wordpress/wp-admin/css/colors-fresh.css](http://blog.imperialgfx.co.uk/wordpress/wp-admin/css/colors-fresh.css)
 * but it 404’s.
 * it’s actually parked here:
 * [http://imperialgfx.co.uk/wordpress/wp-admin/css/colors-fresh.css](http://imperialgfx.co.uk/wordpress/wp-admin/css/colors-fresh.css)
 * see the whole “sub-domain” “sub-directory” confusion-thing going on?
 * I would start there and see what’s up.

 * lol that’s not my site >_<
 * So you think I may have multiple WordPresses in my website? I’ll check the subdomain…

 * That isn’t you? You can disregard my suggestion then. What a staggering coincidence.
 * > So you think I may have multiple WordPresses in my website? I’ll check the

 * No. If it _was_ you, I would think you have put a sub-domain in your addressing
   scheme somewhere where none exists. or- vice-versa or something like that sorta’
   thing. 🙂

 * Okay. okay.. you were just funnin’ me. I’m on to you now! I _see your name_ in
   the dashboard in that pic!!!
 * Well played. (laughing my ass off right now, thank you very much).
 * Hope you sort it out. 😛

 * XD
 * Thanks anyway, but it seems your idea didn’t work out. The subdomain, which is
   where my Imperial GFX blog is located, imperialgfx.koolstr.com (I was going to
   make imperialgfx.com the blog and just koolstr.com my portfolio, but then I decided
   I may one day make imperialgfx.com a graphics community (forum). ), does not
   seem to be related to the problem. I mentioned before how I started freshly new,
   with a new MySQL database and a fresh download straight from WordPress.com. I
   don’t think you can obtain a more solid code than that. But it still seemed to
   be screwed up like this.
 * It seems to be the cause of my browsers, and not WordPress itself… It shows fine
   in Google Chrome, but in Safari and Firefox, it looks like this… =/
 * So should I not be asking here for support of this situation? Should I be going
   somewhere else for this kind of topic?

 * I have no clue why it should work in chrome, but my gut telling me it shouldn’t.
   Looking at the photograph, it appears as though the style sheet is just not being
   loaded into the browser properly.
 * A little smash & crash reveals that by corrupting the load-styles.php file located
   in the wp-admin directory, I can duplicate your screen-shot almost exactly.
 * [EDIT]
 * I take that back… I duplicated your screen-shot _exactly_ by renaming load-styles.
   php. Might want to take a look at that file.

 * I checked the name of the file, and it is load-styles.php. I replaced it with
   a brand new one, straight from the latest download. It is still messed up….
 * Perhaps you can show me what’s inside your load-styles.php file, so I can paste
   that into mine? That should hopefully make it work.

 * It’s the load-styles.php file from 2.8.3 at the moment. I wasn’t suggesting that
   the file name was wrong, only that perhaps an incomplete or corrupted upload
   of the wp-admin contents was possible. I would just re-upload the wp-admin folder
   from a fresh download of your version using ftp, and then make sure permissions
   on the folders and files are correct. Beyond that, I’m stumped. I can only say
   for sure that I did duplicate it exactly by rendering that file useless.
 * [EDIT] permissions of 640 instead of 644 produced the same result..

 * I replaced the entire wp-admin folder with a fresh copy straight from the WordPress
   donwload page. It still is messed up.
 * Could it be my .htaccess file..?
