Definitioner appearing below page content

Some definitions do not show up, and on pages with definitions there is text added below the page/post content. Looks really ugly.
This seems to be a problem related to IE8 (which is the browser used by my client’s hundreds of employees). I have good success on my Mac testing with Safari, Chrome, and Firefox. However, IE8 looks terrible.
