    When I am searching for plugins, I se a term “Active Installs”. What exactly does that mean.

    How are the plugins listed on the page when I search by key word. For example key word “Ai”. what is the reasoning behind the order they are listed in? is it by usage or popularity?

    Active Installs:

    Listings now display a count of active installs instead of downloads: Individual plugin pages have just (days ago) seen a switch from displaying the number of downloads to the number of active installs for the plugin. This information is now also shown on all plugin listings, such as search results.

    I don’t know about your other questions.
