• Hello!
Been working on a post, preview it, and discover that p tags are being inserted all over my definition lists. I… I… I… LOVE definition lists, so does anyone know how to fix this?!? I’m 99% certain this can be fixed in the wpautop function, but my regex skills are comparable to a monkey on a typewriter. Maybe a thousand of me could do it, but thats just messy.
So anyone have a fix for this dl/dt/dd thing? Oh, running WP 1.0.1.

  • I know this may be messy, but have you tried putting your entire block on a continuous line (no breaks after dl’s, dt’s or dd’s)? That may avoid the p tags…

The dl tag is what’s being wrapped in p tags. I think WP just doesn’t realize its a block-level element (you can see its list in wpautop()). Maybe I could wrap it all in a div, but I was hoping WP could offer a more semantic solution. 🙂

This was fixed in the CVS a while ago, I thought it was in 1.01 but I guess not.
