• After looking into all the import/export plugin options I could find, this one stood out for being the most flexible and easy to work with. This was for a one time migration of an old database into WordPress and so I didn’t really want to spend a lot for a one shot. That said, their Pro version is much more reasonably priced than the others.

This was the only available free plugin that supported importing all sorts of tables (I needed custom posts, users and comments), provided field mapping, supported custom fields and even let you save import and export settings. I had a little trouble with some missing error handling and one particular missing comment field but I was able to work around that and get my little project done fairly quickly.

    Good stuff!
