I opened this file: wp-config. php and it is aksing me to supply the database name? Where do I find the name of the database? 2. Then there is this part: // Change this to localize WordPress. A corresponding MO file for the // chosen language must be installed to wp-includes/ languages. // For example, install de.mo to wp-includes/languages and set WPLANG to ‘de’ // to enable German language support. define (‘WPLANG’, ”); I HAVE NO IDEA what all that means!? Inside of the wp-includes folder there is no ‘languages’ directory? Am I supposed to add a’languages’ directory? Where do I get an MO and what do set WPLANG to? Thanks! You need to have created a database for wp to use, or, your host will have a named database that you use anyway. 2. This probably means that the connection information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect. Double check it and try again. Are you sure you have the correct user/password? Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname? Are you sure that the database server is running? The rest is probably correct. Do you have phpMyAdmin ? If so, log into that, and ‘Create database’. I left it as local host becausemy phpmyadmin tells me that i’m running from Local host. so.. I’m confuzzled. The db is akanowic_blog. I put that in the wp-config file along with the username and password. But still no luck.
