Default works, YouTube optimized does not

    Before I update, the plugin worked as expected with the “YouTube Optimized” setting invoked. It no longer works in that setting, however, it does work if I set it to “Default”.

    I can’t imagine this is a feature, so I’m calling this a bug. 🙂

    Please advise.

    Happy to help! It looks like an issue with your rocket loader script:

    It looks like it can’t find the wp object when the page load which is needed for translations (wp.i18n).

    You may need to tweak this setting to possibly make sure the wp.i18n script loads before scripts needed on the page, or it may throw a javascript error which can prevent other scripts from executing properly

    I appreciate the response, but am uncertain why this is an issue only since the update, why the plug-in works on default, and no longer as the optimized setting. My other sites on cloudflare do not seem to have the issue (which is where rocket resides, not on my site). This is the first site I have tried Presto Player on any site.

    Is this going to be a standard fix that the wp.i18n script will need to be moved?

    It could be due to caching or perhaps script orders changing slightly. When using javascript combining/minifying, it’s not a turn it on and forget it type of setting. Typically this requires some setup and troubleshooting to make sure everything works properly.

    Could you try turning off rocket loader temporarily so we can be 100% sure that’s the issue happening here?
