I’m using Recencio Reviews for my upcoming book blog, and am having an issue with tagging. I’ve set up default WordPress tags on all my reviews but they aren’t linking anywhere when clicked – any archive page I click to is blank. I’ve tried using a secondary plugin like TaxoPress to force tags on Reviews to archive like the ones on my posts do, but it still isn’t working. If I click on a tag linked to a post rather than a review, they’ll show on the archive page, but only those posts.

Is there a solution to make sure tags will work correctly when added to a review? Thanks in advance.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @proleacademy

For the issue your are describing this normally happens when the theme’s archive.php template is specifically looking for the default WordPress “post” post type and ignores the “review” post type.

Normally I can fix this by looking at the theme’s code and providing a workaround via custom code. However this is a premium theme that I don’t have access to.

That’s a bummer. It looks like this particular Genesis child theme (Magazine Pro) doesn’t have an archive.php file, so I’m not sure if there’s another file I can modify? Add something to functions.php maybe?
