# Default widgets missing

 * Hi
 * I have a wordpress blog hosted with hostgator and installed via them. I dont 
   have all of the defaultwidgets listed here:

 * And my dashboard only displayes under Appearance: Themes Widgets Menus Header
   Background Editor.
    How can i get all the default widgets, it is mostly the Bandpage
   and the Follow Blog widget I am in need of right now. I would deeply appreciate
   your help!

 * Nor would you as that’s a WordPress.**COM** document you are referring to and
   self-hosted WordPress.**ORG** installations such as yours doesn’t come with most
   of those.

 * Many of those are available as an optional plugin add-on but you’ll need to locate
   and find them yourself.

 * The WordPress.COM Follow Blog widget isn’t available but the [Jetpack plugin](http://jetpack.me/)
   comes close with the subscriptions widget. I’m not sure about the Bandpage one
   but this may be it.

 * Thank you for clearing that up. I am looking for the Bandpage widget and the 
   Follow Blog or similar to that.

 * Thanks. So I will look into the Jetpack stuff and bandpage.
    Is it possible to
   change to a wordpress.com without loosing my content?
