    hi, i want my WP weblog to look good. but i am not good enough with style sheets.. can someone please help me with this:

    i use the default themem which i already modified graphically. how can i

    1. remove the text in the header?
    2. how can i insert a margin at the left, so that the text is not flush with the header graphics on the left?

    at least i managed to align it leftwise, also i found out how to change the font size. :)

    i would appreciate some hints!

    thanks in advance!

    1. Edit the file /wp-content/themes/default/header.php and go to line #57. That should be a call to bloginfo('name') there. Remove that line and there goes your header text.

    2. Edit the file /wp-content/themes/default/style.css and look at the #content{} class. Play around with adding "margin-left:" to it and see what happens.

    Great! Removing the header text worked. Thanks! I will do that later.

    My second question was also concering the header text, not the content. I managed to give the content a margin (what of course made it all look bad). But I meant the same header text ("redmosquito.de"). In case I don't want to remove it, but give it a margin.. adding a margin as i learned from css sites did not work in the #header{} class.. any other ways?

    Thanks again!

    Sebastian,

    Ahh..I misunderstood..:) To move the header text..try adding;

    #headerimg h1 {
    margin-left: <your size>;
    }

    to your style.css and see if that does anything for you.

    Hi Cypher,

    this did not change anything, but i finally found out by myself:

    At

    /* Begin Headers */

    h1 {
    padding-top: 70px;
    margin: 5px;
    }

    i changed the margin from 0 to 5px and that's what i wanted.

    Thanks for your help anyway, it seems that css is also very transparent to a layman :)

    Best

    Seb
