 * Please consider making the default tagline blank, instead of “just another wordpress
site”. I’m having an issue with a plugin (wp like) refusing to recognize changes
to the tagline, so on the facebook like button it continues to show that annoying
bit of verbiage despite the tagline having been changed. However, while that
may be a plugin problem, “just another wordpress site” borders on “cute” and
isn’t something (should people forget it’s there – and I see it all the time
on blogs) that recommends the site as anything other than “average”. Not exactly
the impression most people would want to give of their blog or website.

 * Don’t you think any _default_ tagline will get your reaction from _someone_?
   That includes leaving it blank.
 * Part of a new WordPress installation does include some work including removing
   the default post, page, etc.

 * Sounds like the cache hasn’t been cleared in Facebook. Run the page through this:

Then press the “Scrape again” button.

 * People are meant to change it. If they choose to keep it then that’s a content
   choice on their part.

 * I’d just like to add, “Just another WordPress site” has really become associated
with WordPress, to the point that it’s easily recognizable as the motto. Cutesy
or not, it’s the tagline that everyone associates with WordPress, and to change
it now would be tantamount to changing Nike’s “Just do it”. Although you may
find it a bit embarrassing, I assure you that no one else sees it as anything
more than a familiar motto, and it in no way demeans the quality of your site
   to the reader.
