Default Style – How do you add a column to the left of the blog post?

  • Hi,

I just got this installed and used the Default Style. I am trying to add a column to the left of the blog posts, but cannot figure out how. It looks like the index.php calls a function to grab the sidebar. Does something similar need to be done to get another column to the left, or can something be done in the CSS?

Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks.

  • I’m not entirely sure if this is up to date for the latest version, but here’s the most newcomer-friendly tutorial I was able to find:

Left hand sidebar on WordPress – The easy way!

However, unless you’re comfortable working with CSS and/or PHP, I’d start with downloading a pre-made theme with a lefthand sidebar before trying to DIY.
