    Hi guys,

I’ve been looking for the best gift card plugin and the WebToffee one is a strong contender. In my process I’ve installed / uninstalled activated and deactivated the plugin for various reasons. Now, when I installed the plugin, it doesn’t show the default gift card product. When I go to “add product” in the admin menu it leads to a page to pay.

Any support would be highly appreciated!

    Hi @mrali87,

    Greetings from WebToffee Support!

Thank you for reaching out, and for considering the WebToffee Gift Cards plugin. We’re sorry to hear you’re experiencing issues with the Gift Card product not appearing.

It seems that the default Gift Card product may have been permanently deleted. Since the free version of the plugin does not include an option to create a new Gift Card product, the “Add New” button will not work to recreate it.

You can add the code snippet from here to your site’s functions.php file (WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > Theme Editor > functions.php) or use a code snippet plugin to do that for you. This snippet will create a new Gift Card product. Once it’s created, you can remove the snippet.

We’re working on improving the plugin to detect and recreate the default gift card product—even if it has been permanently deleted. It will be included in the upcoming release to prevent similar issues in the future.

If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please let us know. Thank you again for your patience and for choosing WebToffee!

    Hi there,

thanks for your quick response, this worked like a charm. Thanks.

Unfortunately, sometimes when I try to place a test order it returns the error “Sorry, this order requires a shipping option.” although of course it doesn’t. I have read that disabling pickup and configuring the checkout page in the classic way (non block version) eliminates this error, which I’ve tried and it does. But I want to enable pickup (for other products) and I want to use the block version of the checkout page, any chance the next version could have an update on this too please?

    Hi @mrali87,

Thank you for getting back to us and sharing your positive feedback about the snippet! We’re thrilled to hear it worked perfectly for you.

Currently, our plugin is not fully compatible with the WooCommerce blocks, and this may be contributing to the issue you’re experiencing. We are actively working on enhancing compatibility with WooCommerce blocks in future updates.

To assist further, could you kindly provide the following details?

    1. Pickup Method Used:
      • Are you using WooCommerce’s default pickup method, or is it managed through a third-party plugin?
    2. Screenshots or Screen Recording:
      • Please share a screenshot of the pickup method configuration settings you’ve provided.
      • Additionally, a screen recording of the issue occurring on the checkout page would be highly helpful in analyzing the root cause.

You may securely share the requested information with us through this link. Once we have this information, we can better understand the issue and explore modifications to improve the plugin to meet your needs.

    Looking forward to your response!

    Hi @mrali87,

Thank you for providing the screenshots and additional information.

We wanted to update you that we were unable to replicate the issue on our end. Additionally, as you mentioned, it seems you haven’t encountered the error recently. It’s possible that the recent WooCommerce update resolved the issue.

Since there doesn’t appear to be an ongoing problem at this time, we will proceed to close this thread for now. However, if the issue reoccurs or if you need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to create a new thread.

It appeared there was a compatibility issue with the block checkout but that was fixed on the plugins end! Thanks for the support!
