 * Im a newbie. In writing and Post sections I find under Format the following options;
   _Standard Aside Image Link Quote Status Gallery_. What are they and which do 
   I choose to put a Slider on my home page? Can you point me to an area to study
   this? I’m using 2012, but also is in other themes. My site is at [http://interstatelabelandtag.com/wordpress2](http://interstatelabelandtag.com/wordpress2)

 * They are used to style posts, if your theme is set up to take advantage of the
   formats.
