# Default Payment Method

 * I’m able to change the order of the payment methods. However, I’d like “Credit
   Card” as the default option but “Paypal is always selected. It doesn’t matter
   if I have it as the first or second payment method. Is there a way to change 
   this?

 * I haven’t had any report that wasn’t working as expected, so I’ll have to take
   a look and see if there’s something we need to adjust for that. We’ll check it
   out and hopefully get it fixed in our next update (1.1.7.5)

 * Are you sure you don’t have some other plugin affecting that sort order? Or possibly
   your theme? You’ll need to switch themes and/or disable plugins to test that.

 * This is absolutely a valid bug, however, it is very easy to overcome.
    It feels
   like a “caching” issue.
 * **How to replicate the bug: **
    – Enable PayPal as a payment gateway – Download
   stripe plugin & enable stripe plugin – Adjust the sort order so the Stripe gateway
   is the preferred default – Bug Found (Paypal remains the radio button selected
   by default)
 * **The Solution:**
    To get around this simply “disable” the PayPal payment gateway,
   hit save and then re-enable it.

   snake.
