# Default Page Question

 * Hello,
 * I am pretty new to wordpress and I am pretty impressed by the capabilities that
   it offers. I am pretty much just used to making HTML pages and don’t have any
   professional experience, just self taught.
 * What I would like to do is make a custom page act as the default when some one
   loads up the site. For example:
 * If I make the page with the link:
    website.com/?p=15
 * I would like to make that be the default when some one goes to website.com
 * I’ve tried deleting the page that originally came up when I went to the domain
   but then that pulls up another page or a blog page.
 * Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    admin – settings – reading choose static home page option
 * you will need to assign a page for your blog or create an empty page with title
   of choice and select that for blog page
