# Default option produces errors

 * I received a report that the form on a website we manage was generating errors.
   I tested it myself and got the error, “There was an error trying to send your
   message. Please try again later.”
 * After doing a little digging, I learned that the error is usually tied to recaptcha.
 * So I went to the admin page for ReCaptcha v2 for Contact Form 7 and changed the“
   Select reCaptcha Usage:” option from “Default Usage” to “recaptcha Version 2”.
   Everything started working normally again.
 * Just a heads-up.

 * Thank you for the heads up. This is normal behavior. We do not want to override
   the reCaptcha v3 settings until the user is ready to switch to reCaptcha v2 and
   have their keys set properly. This is for users moving from v3 to v2 and have
   their v3 keys set by default.

 * Thanks for the info. I’m still a bit confused, though, because we were running
   on the default setting (V3) all this time after many months. Suddenly, it stopped
   working. Any idea why?

 * Difficult to say. The reCaptcha v3 will not work with v2 keys ( and vice-versa).
   This plugin doesn’t implement v2 until the v2 option is saved in the database(
   from this plugins settings page as mentioned above ). When this option is set
   it remove and adds many Contact Form 7 hooks and replacements them with supplement
   hooks to display the v2 tag.
 * We’ll keep an eye out for similar situations reported by other users, see if 
   there’s a connection to be made, and if there’s a fix that can be implemented.

 * I’m having the same issues with V2 but changes the reCaptcha usage already. Do
   you have any other ideas on what might cause this and how to fix it?
