    Hello there,

    Today I found a new issue due to this notification plugin. The problem is WordPress’s default functionality Lost/Forgot Password not working due to this plugin. On my site, I found lost password default functionality is not working so I started to debug it. After spending a couple of hours I started deactivating all plugins one by one to debug it more and when I deactivated this plugin and clicked on lost password entered my email address and I got an email for resetting the password which I didn’t get before deactivating this plugin.

    Can anyone help me to solve this issue and can you try on your end?

    For the author of this plugin, how can I solve this issue and run the lost password feature? Can you please check this issue on your end?

    I get all the other emails except this. This is a critical issue.

    Suggestions and help would be appreciated.

    Thanks for your message.

    I’ve found that sometimes, when you override one of the default WordPress notifications, it requires an email log or SMTP to be set-up in order to see what’s going on. Sometimes, if the From Email address is changed, for example, and is no longer sending from the default wordpress@ email address, it starts getting rejected by email servers.

    Hi there,
    Thank you for your reply!
    I refer to the article you mentioned. I have installed an SMTP plugin on my site. Even mail is not in SPAM.
    Only Forgot Password email I don’t receive but if I uninstall this plugin I receive it. I cannot uninstall this plugin.
    Please help me what can I do?

    Are you using the ‘User Lost Password – For User’ notification or ‘User Lost Password – For Admin’ notification in BNFW?

    Sorry, for the late reply.

    Yes, I am using ‘User Lost Password – For Admin’. Please refer to the screenshot: https://www.screenpresso.com/cloud/9S3Ki8NBc9q8/

    When I Send me a Test Email, it works. However, I didn’t get an email when I tried Lost Password from the login screen.

    I’m sure other people must have faced the same problem too.

    Please help me soon as this is a critical issue.

    Does it work if you don’t override the From Name and From Email address?

    Hi there,

    Sorry, I didn’t get an email after removing the From Name and From Email address.

    It’s strange that if I deactivate the BNFW plugin, I receive a Lost Password email.

    What to do now?
