Default image if an image is not uploaded

I am using the user submitted posts form in different pages on our site. I would like to have a default image shown along with the post, if the user does not upload an image. How do we do it?

Hi praveenhotha,

That could be done by modifying your theme template, something like:

<?php if ( has_post_thumbnail() ) { // check if the post has a Post Thumbnail assigned
	the_post_thumbnail();
} else { // if not then display a default image
	echo '<img src="/path/to/default-image.jpg" alt="" />';
} ?>
