    (@dunks)

    I have been searching and searching through this site for a solution to my problem, but haven’t found anything that has worked.

    The problem is, that I can’t seem to change the banner to my site. I first started using WordPress version 2.0.3, and I was able to get the banner working, however doing a file comparison with the header from 2.0.3 and 2.1.1 the code in the header is much different.

    I would like to change the default banner and text with this

  • You should be able to change it in header.php and your style.css.

    I have tried that, I did something to get it to show up, but the text from wp kept displaying, and when I commented out a section of code it all stopped working

    Well then re-upload a fresh or saved header.php.
    To make the blog name and title go away look for this down near the bottom:

    <h1><a href="<?php echo get_settings('home'); ?>/"><?php bloginfo('name'); ?></a></h1>
    		<div class="description"><?php bloginfo('description'); ?>

    Either remove it or comment it out like so:

    <!--<h1><a href="<?php echo get_settings('home'); ?>/"><?php bloginfo('name'); ?></a></h1>
    		<div class="description"><?php bloginfo('description'); ?>-->

    If you simply name your image the same as the kubrick image and size it the same and upload it to the same place you won’t need to mess with the code.

    Thank you, I did comment that out before, but I guess whatever else I had done countered that

    Thanks again
