Default Header Code – Virtue Theme

  • Hi.
Stupid question, but extremely important right now. How can I get the default HEADER code for the latest Virtue theme? I began editing the PHP, made a wrong click, causing me to save the changes and update the page. Help please. Just need to find a way to paste back in the original code.
    Thanks so much.
    N

  • Couldn’t you download the theme from here:
    https://wordpress.org/themes/virtue

Then open the header.php file in a code editor…copy it. Then login to your WordPress install and go to Appearance->Editor then edit the header.php file and paste over the contents and save.

Should get you the original code.

Yes. I tried it before, but for some reason the header.php file was opening up in a strange format and I couldn’t solve the issue. Finally downloaded a different code editor, and the file opened up correctly. Did the trick.

    Thanks for the friendly words.
