    Hi mattyrob,

    I’ve been using Subscribe2 for a while and have just upgraded to Subscribe2_html for my client’s website so we can send prettier emails.

    I was wondering what the default subscription format option is for a new public user… I’ve tried subscribing myself to see, but there doesn’t seem to be any way for a public user to decide what format they get (html-full, html-excerpt, text-full, text-excerpt).

    Is there a way to determine which option they should receive by default?

    Thanks
    Anthony

    @colfetski,

    Public Subscribers can only receive one email type and they do not have a choice about the format. In the free version it is a plant text excerpt, in the HTML version it is HTML full content. Do you mean Registered users? The default for them is set in Subsctibe2->Settings in the Registered Users tab under the Auto Subscribe heading.

    The HTML version also contains a filter so you can change the Public Subscriber email format to something else. HTML excerpt for example.

    Hi Mattyrob, thanks for your reply.

    I have seen the setting for a default format for the registered users, thanks.

    But where is the filter in the HTML version to change the Public Subscriber email format? Is that the options “Auto-subscribe users to receive email as:” in Settings > Registered Users > Auto Subscribe options?

    Or is it somewhere else?

    @colfetski,

    The filter is a piece of code, not an option in the settings.

    You can find the required code over at the support forum for Subscribe2 HTML:
