This plugin has helped fix an issue I had been having regarding long images with Woo products.

As it works now, when cropping it defaults to the middle of the image. I have to manually crop the featured images and slide the box to the top to get the desired result.

I was wondering if there is a means of defaulting the crop box to start at the top of the image automatically or even better would be if it did that be default without even having to enter the cropping portion.

as far as i know, wordpress introduced a default version just some versions ago. Please have a look an the add_image_size function of wordpress. You will need to code for changing that.

Just so you can see exactly what I’m describing: https://divicatalog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/crop-example.jpg

The crop marks begin in the middle of the image. With the plugin is there a way to make it automatically start the crop at the top? As right now I have to drag it to the top and then save.

Just making sure we are on the same page.

@dantefunari the plugin has a fixed position in the middle of the image – there are currently no plans to change this. But you are free to make a pull-request via github, and i will have a look on it.

WordPress, on the other hand has, has a new introduced functionality (a few versions ago) to define the default crop position of an image size. See add_image_size.
