    So I read through all the docs available and I am having real trouble on this one. I have a main page which shows all my categories and subcategories. When you click on any category, the layout of the category looks like the URL I mentioned above. It is all messed up. I then found an article about displaying a category’s listing with a shortcode so I created a page with this shortcode: [businessdirectory-listings category=”Aging Resources”] and it gives me a perfect layout here: http://fourcornershealthdirectory.developerchick.com/aging-resources/. That is great and all but how do I link my category links on the main page to the new page? Furthermore, why doesn’t the default category layout work? I shouldn’t have to create a page for each category and put in the shortcode to display the listings for that category but if I must, please tell me how to link them on the main page (main page is: http://fourcornershealthdirectory.developerchick.com/business-directory/). I can tell that the slug is different from my page and my category link so I even tried to set it to be the same slug which also didn’t work. I am currently completely up to date on my wordpress version and the business directory plugin as well.

    Hi @developerchick,

    Sorry that you ran into issues here!

    Looking at the original link, I think you might be running one of the themes that requires our compatibility mode to fix. Some themes like Divi or Avada are extremely complex and do a lot under the covers to make their “magic” happen. In doing so, they do things a bit odd compared to a standard theme like 2017. So we have a mode that helps compensate for this.

    You can activate it under Directory Admin->Manage Options->General tab, Advanced Settings. Check “Disable Advanced CPT Integration”, then flush all of your caches.

    If you don’t flush the cache after that operation, you’ll be seeing old data on your browser.

    We recommend clearing the server cache, if you have one (which is found either in your hosting settings or on your plugin settings for things like WP Super Cache and W3TC if you have them installed), as well as your client browser cache.

    The best way to get uncached data on your browser is to use a Private browsing window or Incognito mode (depending on your browser). That ensures you’re seeing the latest, correct data.

    Failing that, you may wish to try a conflict test to see if something else is causing this.     I’m pretty sure it’s a theme thing and the compatibility mode will address it. But it helps to have options.
