    Hi,

in order to integrate an audio player into the sidebar of a WP page (linking to a certain podcast post), I installled the BluBrry plugin & featured podcast widget. It works in principle, but I m facing two problems:

    http://hms-testgelaende.de/blogs/sahifa/?p=417

    1) I cannot control the width of the player itself and it is neither adjustable in the plugin nor in the widget. So I have no clue in which .php file I might have to look.

On the post itself, whenever I add an audio file, TWO players appear, one obviously being the WP default player which I dont know how to deactivate.

I have laready asked my theme supplier for support, but they had no real idea. Still waiting for the widget author to reply also.

Since I m not really familiar with php coding (as you might have noticed…), any idea that could help me is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!!

I’m not sure about the plugin, I recommend asking over at http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/powerpress

However, I did want to mention that you can use the built-in audio player in a widget if you want to do that instead of the plugin, just add the shortcode in a Text widget: http://codex.wordpress.org/Audio_Shortcode

I somehow managed to solve the problem without having to go into any code by simply using an empty text widget and inserting the featured podcast widgets shortcode. Also, I exchanged the player to one that can be size-adjusted. On the post itself, I deleted the default players shortcode & .mp3 call and found a hidden box where the file is defined again for some reason.

Some formatting issues still, but for the moment, that should be ok.

I think some problems have to do with the insufficient sanitizing of cache or overwriting in the MySQL database since I saw lots of different player uploads that shouldnt have been there in the html source code of the homepage. As said, I have no real programming skills, but somehow can deduce what the code is about in some cases…

    Thanks again, James!

Excellent, if it’s a still a problem, or ever becomes a problem again, I’d recommend running it by http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/powerpress just in case.
