    Is there a way to have an access group selected by default on the “New Post” page? I only have one access group setup on the site. It would be great if that group could just be selected by default on all new posts. Thank you!

    I had the same Problem and there’s a workaround for this. You can do this with jQuery and the “admin_footer-post-new.php” action:

    function default_useraccess() {

      ?>
      <script>
        jQuery(document).ready(function() {
          jQuery('[name="uam_user_groups[]"]').prop('checked', true );
        });
      </script>
      <?php
    }
    add_action( 'admin_footer-post-new.php', 'default_useraccess', 10, 0 );

    This checks ALL user group checkboxes on page load when you add a new post
