Polylang is the main multilingual plugin I’m using on different websites.
I will keep this plugin and Polylang fully compatible. If you find something not working, please keep me informed.
Slug translation is not there yet.
Formatting is ok
Current process is : create duplicate with Polylang in another language. Translate with DeepL via this plugin. Tada.
Hey Malaiac,
Many thanks for your feedback, I’ll try right now, I’ll keep you posted if things don’t work out.
Hey there.
I can’t make it work.
1. Create duplicate article with polylang in another language : done
2. Translate : not working

Do you have any tips ?
Did you save the post then translate ?
Do you get any strange output in the console ?
If yes, can you copy it to me ?

Are you sure you have an active DeepL API plan ?
I have the “DeepL Pro Advanced” plan is this the right one?
Probably not.
On the Settings / DeepL translation page, do you have the usage meter displayed ?
If not, you don’t have API access
Ok my bad, It wasn’t the right one 🙂 I’m trying it again now!
Is that working well ?
I am currently looking for automating translation of articles from one site to another (without using wordpress multisite, several sites, several URLs, several host providers, several themes).
I also use polylang and do not want to use their so expensive lingotech translation service, I would like to rely on deepl api, which seems as far as I know the most reliable service.
The more automation, the better it is …
My first conclusion is that today, we should use an import/export plugin, polylang on both sites, create the duplicated langage for each imported post, use your plugin to use deepl, and remove the original langage … Which remains a tedious process…
Probably not.

I made the same mistake, instead of API Subscription I registered and paid for Deep Pro Subscription.
Of course this was my own mistake because I didn’t look properly but what is very annoying is that you can’t change the subscription plan with deepl. I had to register again with another e-mail.
