Best Ratings but not perfect

    I like this widget But I thought that I should give a heads up to other people looking for a rating widget.

    1. the rating widget is hosted elsewhere. On the creators servers so you won’t have access to the ratings.

    2. It cannot show ratings for posts under one category. It only shows all ratings across all posts in the widget or all ratings in comments using the thumb rating system.

    If these facts do not bother you then this widget is perfect for you. It is definitely the best ratings widget currently available for wordpress and it even incorporates with other major plugins like buddypress and bbpress which is a major plus as well.

    1. We are working hard to improve our backend stack to prevent slowdowns. In addition, we are working on a technique won’t show any loading elements if there is any issue on our server.

    2. Showing ratings under one category has nothing to do with remote hosting. We’ve just never implemented this. We already added it to our TODOs, but honestly there are many other highly prioritized things we focus on right now.

    3. We do have a white-label version which you can host yourself, though it’s much more expansive and usually used by big publishers. If you are interested, you are more than welcome to contact me directly on [vova AT rating-widget DOT com].

    A speedy reply, that alone is a seller! I’m glad you working hard to stop the slowdown it would really help. I really hope you do get around to adding the categories setting though, as of right now I am disabling the ratings for most of the posts and only adding them for one category as I don’t want the different categories mixed in the top ratings widget. As for the white label I will wait a while to see how the widget progresses and then contact you.
