Support » Plugin: Perelandra Sermons » Decent but it’s missing something

  • I’d like the ability to use a shortcode, such as [sermons], to add the sermons to an existing page, so that I can control the formatting of the page and fit it into my theme. Please add this!

Hey @stevensoaj, thanks for the comment and the review!

There are actually 4 shortcodes that you can use to build out your own sermon listing page. They are listed below:

    • [pl_all_sermons] (displays the list or grid of all sermons)
    • [pl_featured_sermon] (displays the sermon that is most recently “starred” in the listing)
    • [pl_featured_series] (dipslays the series that is most recently “starred” in the listing)
    • [pl_recent_series] (displays the three most recent series)

I’m working on better documentation to cover this as I don’t think there is, currently, any way of knowing they exists. Thanks for bringing it up and to everyone’s attention!

Let me know if there are any other missing features that you might need.

Is there a way for me to prevent it from overwriting my existing sermons page?

Sadly, not at this point. I can see this as a great feature to add for people like you that don’t want to use the default archive.

I’ll look into allowing you to define your own slug for the default archive so that the /sermons slug is freed up.

    Thanks!

If/when you implement the custom slug option, please allow a no slug/shortcode only option as well!

@stevensoaj, I will absolutely look into it!
