  • Hi Folks,

I searched — but I’m not sure exactly what my question is, so I’ll post πŸ™‚

I just set up a blog:

    http://www.400gt.com/blog

and it’s great. But, I don’t know what I’m doing…when it comes to new members posting.

I can now see that anybody can simply post, even if they are not a registered member — is that correct?

Where can I view my options as to how I can control whether posters need to register or not in order to post?

I’m not sure how I want to proceed, but I think I’m going to want to have folks register before posting.

Hope this all makes sense. πŸ™‚

    Thanks,

    Fred Paroutaud

Not unless you’ve changed the default set up or added a plugin to enable non-member posting. By default, posting is limited to Authors or above.

Or do you mean post a comment?

Sorry, I “DO” mean “post a comment”

    Ok…slowly learning πŸ™‚

So — how can I set up the blog so that those who want to post a comment have to register as a member?

    Thanks!

    Fred

Navigate to Admin/Settings/Discussion. Check the box for “Users must be registered and logged in to comment”. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Save Changes”.
