No tools, no ability to type, in posts or pages. Trashed and reimported my theme.(Lazy sunday) no help. Looks like you have a real issue and I’m not sure what to say about it. If it were me i’d delete all wp files EXCEPT WP CONTENT and upload new copies from a fresh download of wp. This is _almost_ failsafe, but doing anything like this is never without some risk. Problem solved.
