Deactivated SPS, Reactivated and lost custom sidebars

While solving an unrelated issue, I was told to turn off all plug-ins. SPS had worked beautifully up until then. I reactivated SPS, and now all I see are the default sidebar choices. I did not erase anything, or change any wigets. Can you please tell me what happened?
