Hi @handmadehome, sorry to see you’re still getting the 403 block even though Wordfence is seemingly disabled.

Could you try re-activating Wordfence, select “Delete Login Security tables and data on deactivation” in Wordfence > Login Security > Settings and “Delete Wordfence tables and data on deactivation” in Wordfence > Tools > Import/Export Options. Then deactivate Wordfence again, making sure to flush/clear the cache on any caching plugins you have installed on your WordPress installation afterwards.

Failing this, you could also try the manual plugin removal process as highlighted in the following guide: https://www.wordfence.com/help/advanced/remove-or-reset/

Let me know how you get on!

    Thanks,

    Peter.

I’ve deleted “Security tables and data on deactivation” in Wordfence > Login Security >Settings

But I can’t find “Delete Wordfence tables and data on deactivation” in Wordfence > Tools > Import/Export Options. Looks like there is no anything like you mean: https://ibb.co/fQtTT7Z

Well, the first point is not enough…I still face with this:

    Hi @handmadehome,

My apologies, the “Delete Wordfence tables and data on deactivation” appears in Wordfence > All Options > General Wordfence Options

If you are not using a caching plugin that may be causing this, and your site is not connected to Wordfence Central (if it is, please disconnect it), try renaming your wordfence directory in the /wp-content/plugins/ directory to wordfence.bak and see if these pages still appear.

    Thanks again,

    Peter.

    I’ve renamed /wp-content/plugins/wordfence into wordfence.bak: https://ibb.co/9nRsb2Y
The problem is still here: https://ibb.co/H2HHddg

    Hi @handmadehome,

Do you have any other WordPress sites running Wordfence in your hosting that may be in a parent folder or another part of the directory structure for this web server?

If that’s not the case, I will get in contact with our development team as it seems unusual for Wordfence blocks to continue with all the removal and disable steps we have taken so far.

    Thanks,

    Peter.

Yes, I have another website with Wordfence in the parent directory

    Hi @handmadehome

If you have another website in the same hosting where WordFence is in the parent directory, it is most likely causing the behavior.

Can you disable that too from the other site and confirm if that fixes the behavior?

    Best,

    Tseten
