Deactivated / Deleted Plugins remain in the menu

    Hi,

    Just started out testing this plugin. So far it seems to be exactly what I need. But I’ve come across some odd behaviour which I don’t know if it is related to my test setup or is widespread.

    When a plugin is Deactivated / Deleted from WP. The plugin’s link in the side menu remains. Including all child menu items of that plugin.

    I can resolve this via ADMIN > Custom Admin Interface > Admin Menu -> Hide Menu Item (for deleted plugin). While this removes the Admin side-menu link for said plugin. The deleted plugin forever remains although greyed-out.
    – Have I missed something? How do I remove it? I can’t figure this one out.

    Again, I’ve only just started playing with it, so this could be an error at my end.

    Hi @rockso,

    This is a known issue which I don’t have a great solution for. Basically when you delete or deactivate a plugin our plugins settings don’t know you have done this and also don’t know what plugin is responsible for that menu item. So it stays in the menu. You can only hide these old menu items, you can’t remove them (we prevent removing them as this prevents people deleting core menu items which could really screw things up). If you are technical what you can do is open the menu settings page and then open the browser inspector, and then delete the menu item from the settings page and then save the settings and this will permanently remove it, but to be honest, it might be best to hide it.
