 * hello, how can I avoid, that yoast seo picks the first image of a post for the
snippet image preview on mobile. Can I chose a specific image for the snippet
preview? Unfortunately it does not pick the image of my hero page. I do not use
   a featured image.
If there is no way to choose a specific image, can I deactive
   the snippet images completely? Thanks.
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Fdeactivate-snippet-image%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)

 * [@eule1](https://wordpress.org/support/users/eule1/) In most cases Google automatically
uses either an image found in the post, or the featured image if one is set.
So the way to try to specify an image to use for the preview would be to set
a featured image for a post.
 * As for disabling this, we don’t know of a way to accomplish that, as Google would
likely just use another image found on your site for the preview if it didn’t
find one specified as the featured image for the page, or one found within the
   content of the page itself.
