Hi – Once I’ve used the plug-in to add the Google Analytics code to my site’s header, is there a way to remove the plug-in without removing the GA code? It seems like the job of the plug-in is finished after the installation, after I confirm that traffic data is showing up in GA itself, right? But when I deactivate the plug-in the GA code is no longer visible in my site’s home page source code, then when I activate it again the GA code comes back. Do I need to leave the plug-in installed permanently? Thanks.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

The plugin adds the code via your theme’s header or footer hooks (depending on settings), which requires the plugin to be activated in order to work. If you want to skip the plugin, you can add the code manually in either of those locations. Cheers
