# Deactivate automatic type badge / label

 * Hi Michael,
 * just a quick question, how can I hide or deactivate the blue type label “Books,
   Misc. etc.” to the right of the title?
 * It would be great if that is easily done, as I display different kind of sources(
   paintings, etchings, etc.) using teachpress not just books or Misc. And it would
   only confuse the user to see this.

 * I had issues with my website and over 2000 manual set custom labels disappeared.
   Now I managed to revive them. Nevertheless, it would be interesting, how to deactivate
   the automatic created labels.

 * The fastest way to remove the type is to add the following line into the .css
   file of your WordPress theme:
 * `span.tp_pub_type {display: none !important;}`
