# Deactivate

 * I recently migrated Drupal content over to WP using FG to Drupal plugin. I need
   to import the Tool Types plugin, because some of the content was set up as custom
   nodes. I used the post type switcher to convert the custom posts over to regular
   posts and switched all the custom fields to the correct WP field locations. Is
   it ok to deactivate and uninstall this plugin now, or does it need to stay activated?

 * Thanks.

 * If you created the Post Types, Fields and other things with Toolset Types, then
   you need the plugin.
 * It stores everything in the Database and hence, if you deactivate it all the
   data is not appearing anymore in the Admin Area (but is still in the Database).
 * As soon you reactivate it, the data is visible again in the Database.
 * We have a DOC for migration from Drupal to WordPress:

 * Thank you for the reply, I will read your doc.
 * Please can you tell me why after a drupal migration with FG drupal to wordpress
   plugin, when I edit a product (I have migrated an Ubercart shop), I see:
 * Your theme doesn’t have a template to display Product.
    Visit example Product
   Resolve
 * ???
 * But actually my product is displayed completely with pictures and everything
   is correct.
 * Should I do something to fix this message ?

 * Thank you again for all.

 * I’m going to deactivate the plugin and see if anything gets affected. I already
   migrated the content from Drupal—that’s why I needed your plugin (via suggestion
   by FG to Drupal). However, I converted all the custom fields (copy and pasted)
   into the standard content, excerpt and title fields, and then converted the custom
   posts into standard blog posts… so I’m guessing I’m all set with Tools plugin,
   but I’ll mark this as resolved once I know I’m all set. Thanks!

 * Not sure why you needed Types to migrate from Drupal – and I am also not sure
   what “via suggestion by FG to Drupal” means.
 * but of course, if now all data is stored in WordPress native Posts, and Fields,
   there is no need to keep Types.
 * Thank you.

 * FG DRUPAL TO WORDPRESS is the best plugin to migrate from drupal to wordpress.
 * When using it we need your Types plugin to be able to import (migrate) content
   that we have on drupal but that wordpress does not know.
 * After migration we can change the content type, for example if we migrate drupal
   BLOG content, we can convert it to wordpress POST, and then, once converted,
   it is possible to deactivate tyoe BUT if someone converts for example BLOGS To
   POSTS, then the redirections made by FG drupal to wordpress plugin to the new
   URL (blogs) won’t work (urls are different after migraton form drupal to wordpress,
   so the migration plugin does redirection).
 * So it is better to keep Tyoes plugin activated and keep the BLOG content instead
   of converting to POSTS.

 * I see 🙂
 * But is that Plugin (FG DRUPAL TO WORDPRESS) actually advertising Types to be
   used for the process?
 * I ask because we would, of course, want to know, and on top of that, we could
   maybe write some DOC, or get some nice co-work with them!
 * Can you link me with the Plugin?
 * Thanks!

 * I think I needed to ask them to know how to migrate my other drupal content types
   and they told me that plugin as yours can help.
 * I didn’t try any other plugin as yours is great and works right away.
 * And yes, they do not provide a great doc, so maybe it is worth telling people
   that your plugin is THE ONE to use for easy simple migration of drupal content.
 * Thank you again !

 * Yes to chime in. When using FG Drupal to WP, if Drupal content is set up as custom
   nodes.. there is a prompt recommending to use your plugin to convert those to
   custom post types.
 * [@makeonlineshops](https://wordpress.org/support/users/makeonlineshops/) That’s
   exactly what I did.. converted blog posts to regular posts. I had concern about
   the redirects and reached out to FG Drupal support. They are handled inside FG
   plugin inside the table wp_fg_redirect. They actually also are connected the
   post ID, so when you change urls inside WP, the redirects automatically update!
   Which is awesome! I do have to keep FG Drupal activated, but Types doesn’t affect
   the redirects.
 * Now that they are regular posts.. I deactivated Types and everything including
   the redirects are still working fine (NOTE: I did not migrate categories and
   tags, we are restructuring those.)
 * Thanks for your input!
