 * A while ago I hacked around in one the of the base themes, Twenty Eleven perhaps,
to make the blog look like the rest of my site. Now wordpress is telling me my
theme needs to be upgraded. How can I de-link the theme so I don’t accidentally
   upgrade and overwrite my changes?

 * This is why it’s a good idea to create a child theme [http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes](http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes)
 * You have two choices, go through your theme and copy all of your changes to a
child theme if you can find them all.
The other is to rename Twenty Eleven to
your own them name so it doesn’t get overwritten, that defeats the purpose of
   upgrading Twenty Eleven though.

 * Thanks I didn’t realise it was so easy as just renaming the theme…
