Support » Plugin: License Manager for WooCommerce » De-activate key when order is canceled or refunded

    Hi Drazen,

    We use an upsell plugin and when a user upsells their order after checkout, before “Thank you”, the original order is canceled and a new one is created on the fly.

    But, that means that the license key for the original order is also still active in the “My Account” sectionas this was created when the First purchase was completed.

    Is there something on your to-do list to deactivate keys when an order is canceled? If not, we’ll do the work ourselves with an order webhook and your API, but if it is on your timeline, we’ll wait for it 🙂

    Keep up the good work, you rock!

    To add to this, I’ve been playing around with this and I noticed a possible bug with the deactivate API
    https://www.licensemanager.at/docs/rest-api/developer-documentation/deactivate-a-license/

    The following Key has status ACTIVE in our system, yet we get this notice:

    Array
    (
    [code] => lmfwc_rest_data_error
    [message] => License Key: AGE-GOSW-V1CV-IBFY-R76C-N01 has not been activated yet.
    [data] => Array
    (
    [status] => 404
    )

    )

    Changing the status with update API works fine.

    I hope this helps (we'll just use the update API, but I thought you'd like to know).

    Hello @botprophet

    I’ll answer your second question first: The status “ACTIVE” does not mean that the license key has already been activated. ACTIVE means that it’s ready for sale. The status labels are a bit confusing, sorry.

    Activations are tracked separately from the status, so if that license key has 0 activations, then you won’t be able to deactivate it.

    Now to your original question:

    I haven’t implemented a process for cancelled license keys, at least not yet. Can’t make any promises as to when/if this feature will happen. Sorry.
