I have deactivated and removed the plugin but the db.php file is not being removed from the wp-content directory. It has permission that lock the file and doesn’t allow me to delete. How do I handle this?

You’ll need to get in contact with your host. There’s nothing in QM that prevents this file from being deleted or changes its file permissions.

I did speak with the Host and when they tried to change the permissions it just got changed back.

This install was a migration from a development location. When I review the site in the development location activating/deactivating results in the file appearing/disappearing. note both the development and live versions are with the same host.

I was able to remove it by deleting the entire wp-content directory and reinstalling everything, very painful. Recommend you look into this further with the use-case define.
