• Contextual Related Posts executes 5 db queries on the frontend where there’s no related posts even without logged in.
    Is this necessary?

    Can you please provide me with the list. I’ve massively optimised db queries to the bare minimum. Lastly, the caching should help as well.

    Not sure if they’re the same as when not logged in, but this is queries inspected with Query Monitor when logged in.

    Yes, these are the same ones, they are used for the thumbnail to set and check sizes. I’ll look at it to see if anything can be done further to optimize.

    FYI, some other popular related posts plugins don’t execute a query where there’s no relate posts.

    Can you let me know what settings you have for the thumbnail?

    It’s “Do not display thumbnails, only text”
    And Style is “Text only”
