Support » Plugin: WP Google Map Plugin » DB Error When Adding Location

  • When trying to add a location, I get the following error. I saw other posts describing similar issues and the resolution was to deactivate and reactivate the plugin, which I have done several times and I still get the error. Please advise. I’m using version 4.0.8 of the plugin on WordPress 4.9.8. Thanks for your time.

WordPress database error: [Table ‘xxx_333.wp_map_locations’ doesn’t exist]
    SHOW FULL COLUMNS FROM wp_map_locations

WordPress database error: [Table ‘xxx_333.wp_group_map’ doesn’t exist]
SELECT * FROM wp_group_map ORDER BY group_map_id ASC

    Hello,

On plugin activation, This plugin creates some required database tables so it seems that MySQL users you’re using, doesn’t have permission to create the tables.

Probably these tables are missing in your database and that’s why this is happening so please check the permission of MySQL users. and give it Table write permission.

And then deactivate and then activate the plugin and this issue will be fixed.

    Thanks

Thank you for the reply. I don’t believe the MySQL user permissions are an issue because several other plugins have successfully installed their tables, such as Ninja Forms and Wordfence. Do you happen to know any other possible causes for this? Thanks again for your time.

We moved the website to a different host and the plugin is working fine. This ticket can be closed. Thank you.
