This is a beautiful plugin, especially its simplicity of design. Can you help out with some customizations to the listing of the day (list) view?

Is there a way to limit the number of days displayed on a list view so that a user on the site would not have to scroll through so many listings, on mobile?

Also, can the prev, next arrows net to the “today” button, at top of listings, be capable of moving the list view as days; not months, when user clicks on the arrows? Currently it only moves the list per next month or previous month.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Yowza! That’s a lot of events. 🙂 I see where you are coming from. Let me think about some potential ways to do what you want.

Added a shortcode option list_days="2" to tame that. Let me know.

OK, scratch all that… I added some new shortcode options that will let you tame your list how you see fit.

You can now use list_type option to specify day, week, year, or month types.

There is also a custom type that shows the next 28 days (current default) that can be tweaked to show a certain number of future days using the list_days

See install section of readme for details.

Very nice work. Thanks. I will be a day or two before I can test the new updates but I will leave a good review for now.

There is one other issue you may want to observe. When an event title is clicked on and the popup is being displayed, any events with lots of content—maybe more than a screen height’s worth of text in the event Description section, for example—the popup will push off to the left of the theme content and is not fully visible to the user.

I was able to use some CSS to move some divs back to the center of the page (id tippy-1 and tippy-2). But this only works when you actually know the id of the “tippy-[id]” div.

You are definitely taking this thing to its limits!

We’ll have to poke around the toolbox positioning engine, and will likely need to add a scroll bar once things reach a certain size.

I’ve added it to the list: https://github.com/lbell/pretty-google-calendar/issues/3

Don’t know when I’ll be able to get this as I suspect it affects relatively few users. Thanks!

It could be theme even. I really haven’t tested but will let you know if I do. I am working on a version of your plugin of my own. Not using a hint of javascript. I never do like JS due to so many themes like to go overboard and that can cause issues with plugins that use footer scripts.

Plugin on private github repo if you need invite. Demo at http://tswdev.com/test/

Don’t push your self on the positioning. Client might end up using Discourse for detailed events listing.

Verified that pretty cal opens tooltip off page on other themes. Test two default WP themes and “Editorial” and “StoreFront.” http://tswdev.com/test/test-layout-page/ (Editorial theme).
