Maybe @jrodes can help me?
The Events Calendar Category Colors plugin won’t be able to colorize the mini-calendar grid background without some modifications. While doing so should give you the expected result if there is only one event per day, I can’t create an inconsistent experience by default.
Can I ask how you are inserting that calendar on the page?
Hi! Thank you for your reply!
I insert calendar via Events Calendar widget, in sidebar.
Always will be only 1 event for each day (is a waste collection… paper on mondays, glass on wednesdays… etc).
Is it possible?
Thank you very much!
Let me get back to you to see if it’s possible. There would need to be the correct tags in the widget and I’m not sure they are present.
Unfortunately, the widget doesn’t provide CSS selectors for event categories in the grid. There is no current way to accomplish this outside of creating a template override for the widget.
Category Colors does provide for grid coloring in mobile view for the calendar page by default.
And using tribe-events or tribe-mini-calendar?
I’m not sure I understand the above reference.
The easiest way to check is to try. Category Colors should work every where the appropriate CSS selectors are in code.
Hi!
You said that widget doesn’t provide css selectors, so I changed to mini_calendar.
You can see in this page:

Is it possible to colorize background color of day cells here?
Thanks!
If you use the shortcode it would be colored automatically.
